Equality and Diversity

As a company which benefits from the rich diversity of our staff we have developed a one-day Equality and Diversity training solution to provide individuals with a proficient understanding and an appreciation on how to apply best practice techniques within the workplace.

Our course is informative, interesting and enjoyable. We explore diversity and the impact of attitudes and behaviours at work to enhance the skills required to manage and deal effectively with diversity issues. Our course will incorporate the Equality Act 2010 (introduced 1 October to strengthen and harmonise discrimination legislation.), includes real-life case studies and guidance on how to work within the new legislation. Below is an outline of the training objectives:

• Explore the rationale behind effective Equality and Diversity practices and procedures
• Clarify understanding of major aspects of equality legislation (including the Equality Act) and terminology
• Analyse the impact of prejudice and discrimination in the workplace, focussing on behaviours of leaders and followers
• Equip delegates with relevant information relating to the UK and its diversity
• Understand and identify the links between attitudes, behaviour, assumptions, stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination, exploring good practice in the work place
• Identify prejudice, where it occurs and who causes it
• Improve understanding of harassment and bullying
• Recognise the benefits of a diverse team

The training is suitable for MD’s, HR representatives, Managers and Employees who wish to extend their understanding of Equality and Diversity and the Equality Act.
