Interviewing Skills

Recruiting the correct people is more important than ever to equip organisations with the right people to succeed, therefore we have developed a truly interactive course to provide interviewers with the relevant skills and techniques.

Our two-day course will encourage delegates to try proven interviewing techniques enabling them to:

• Analyse the purpose of interviews; the advantages and disadvantages
• Identify the skills, knowledge and behaviours that are required for an effective interviewer
• Appreciate the importance of active listening and the barriers to listening
• Be aware of the importance of body language
• Develop an awareness of the role and responsibilities of the chair person and panel members in the interview process
• Compile appropriate questions to elicit evidence for specific core competences
• Analyse the different interviewing styles and questioning techniques
• Appreciate the importance of candidate reports and legal implications
